Namaste!
So, why Ma Ma Mia, you might ask?
First — yes, it’s a wink to the musical. Definitely dramatic.
Slightly nostalgic. And every bit discerning.
But more than that, it’s a phrase that lives somewhere between an exclamation and a sigh.
A gasp of delight when a meal surprises you.
A whisper when a city takes your breath away.
A shrug when plans fall apart and something better finds you instead.
For me, Ma Ma Mia is a reminder that life — like cinema — is meant to be felt in full color. That joy and reflection can live side by side. That sometimes, you don’t need to explain everything — you just need to feel it fully and write it down before it disappears.
Also, my dad had a cassette of the band back in the day, they've been a part of life ever since.
Between takes...
An official welcome. I’m so glad you’re here.
This space was born out of long airport waits, quiet café corners, and tons of diaries, scribbled-on napkins and rummaging through a memory full suitcase. I’m a screenwriter and filmmaker by
trade — but words have always been my first language, and this blog is where I return to them, almost as if it is an ode, and a way to connect with myself — because that's how I have always connected to anything — by writing!
Here, I write longform reflections that drift between cultures, cuisines, cities, and moments that changed me. Essays that read like postcards from the road or quiet letters to an old friend. You’ll find stories about the taste of a perfect bowl of pho, the unexpected intimacy of solo travel, the texture of a creative life — and everything in between.
This isn’t a blog about “how to.” It’s a place for how it felt.
If you’ve ever chased a feeling, stood still in a new city just to take it all in, or found meaning in the mundane — you’ll feel at home here.
Make yourself a cup of something delicious and grab your big emotions cause for the love of
Ma Ma Mia, we're going to feel it all. Read slow. Scroll even slower.
Let’s indulge.
